| Give Me A Break! |
I have decided to jump on board and try D-Mannose for my IC and urethritis. The claim is that it coats the bladder and protects it from bacteria. It has a slippery component that keeps the bacteria from clinging onto your bladder, so it slides right out--you get my point; not need for me to be too descriptive. It can't hurt, right?
So, I have begun my D-Mannose Experiement and will be posting my finding periodically. If you suffer from periodical cystitis or IC, take this journey with me!
Note: I am using the D-Mannose powder form.
DAY 1
1 Tsp in a glass of water.
Experienced little inflammation, not sure if it is due to normal inflammation cycle, or if I have irritated the bacteria.
DAY 2
1 Tsp in a glass of water.
Continue to experiencing some inflamation, still not sure if it is the normal inflammation cycle or not. Had more pain than usual in the evening. No improvement yet, but not expecting too much too quickly.
DAY 4
1 Tsp
I know--what happened to day 3? Oops, I forgot to take it. More info coming soon. No improvements yet.
DAY 5, 6, 7
1 Tsp
Inflammation continued, but felt better than day 4.
DAY 8 & 9
Increased to about a tbsp with water.
I noticed that normally I am hot, swollen and burning by midday, but I have seen some improvement with inflammation and pain over days 8,9. Still taking pain medication and having urethritis.
DAY 10
I was burning this morning, took D-mannose and felt better-not great, but better.
DAY 11 & 12
Did not take it to see what would happen. Continued to see same level of improvement, no additional swelling or pain. Usually I am in bed by 6 pm on Saturday, I out of bed until 8:30 pm. It has been a long time since that has happened. Sunday wasn't too bad either; however, I made myself stay in bed a lot to give my body a break from Saturday.

Love to hear ow this turned out. I just started experiencing bladder problems. I randomly feel like I have to pee, sometimes I do, sometimes I don't but it feels urgent. The sensation is annoying not painful and more external than internal.
I just tried UT Answer with D-Mannose and Cranberry in syrup form. It cost a buttload and did nothing.
